Parties to the Protocol on Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers (PRTRs), interested UN Member States, NGOs, public and other interested stakeholders are invited to participate in a survey on the experiences in implementing the Protocol. Information on thesurvey is also available online: Survey on experiences inimplementing the Protocol.

Considering importance of the outcomes of thesurvey, Parties, in particular, are strongly encouraged toparticipate in this important exercise.

The survey is organised by the Protocol?sBureau pursuant to the decision of the Protocol?s WorkingGroup of the Parties made at its seventh meeting (Geneva, 28-29 November 2019) with a view topreparing for the next session of the Meeting of the Parties(see meeting?s outcomes (item 6): https://www.unece.org/fileadmin/DAM/env/pp/prtr/WGP-7/WGP-7_List-of-decisions_v29Nov2019as_adopted.pdf)

Thesurvey is also aimed atfacilitating the information exchange amongParties, other interested States and stakeholders. Theresponses received will be considered by the Bureau forpreparing its report to the Working Group of the Parties forits next meeting (16-17 December 2020).

Project Industrial animal farms in the Baltic Sea Region - sustainable practices to reduce nutrient loads is a part of a long-term campaign of the Coalition Clean Baltic and Green Federation "GAJA", aiming to reduce the negative impact of large-scale animal production on the environment and local communities in the Baltic Sea Region, particularly by reducing nutrient run-off into the sea.
