Yesterday (16th August) thefirst cloud-free satellite image of the Baltic Sea for roughly 10 dayswas captured and the surface accumulations of algal blooms, that theSMHI have been observing through clouds and cloud gaps, was yesterdaycompletely visible. This showed that the algal collections aresignificantly established offshore across the whole southern Baltic. Atmost concentrated south of Gotland.
