The Greener Agriculture for a Bluer Baltic Sea will be held on 5-6 November 2015 in Stralsund, Germany. The conference has a long history of gathering key representatives from agricultural and environmental authorities, academic institutions, farmers? unions and advisory organisations, agrienvironmental NGOs and enterprises providing an important opportunity for the sharing of ideas, solutions and collaborative approaches. This year the conference is hosted by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in cooperation with UBA ? the German Federal Environment Agency.

THE THEME OF THIS YEAR?S CONFERENCE is ?Agricultural Production and Consumption ? Mitigation potential to reduce eutrophication of the Baltic Sea?, featuring the role and shared responsibility of actors throughout the production and consumption chain from farm to plate to help in reducing eutrophication of the Baltic Sea.

THE 2015 WWF BALTIC SEA FARMER OF THE YEAR will be announced during a ceremony in the evening of the 5th November.

Project Industrial animal farms in the Baltic Sea Region - sustainable practices to reduce nutrient loads is a part of a long-term campaign of the Coalition Clean Baltic and Green Federation "GAJA", aiming to reduce the negative impact of large-scale animal production on the environment and local communities in the Baltic Sea Region, particularly by reducing nutrient run-off into the sea.
