The CCB participates in a study to develop a profile for each Member State illustrating industrial sectors, their pollutant emissions as well as the challenges and pressures and specificities of each within the framework of the Industrial Emissions Directive 2010/75/EU, recently launched by the European Commission. The profiles will build on the industrial pollution country profiles developed by the European Environment Agency and will be used for the European Commission?s biannual Environmental Implementation Review. The study is being carried out on behalf of the European Commission by Ricardo Energy & Environment (UK), BiPRO GmbH (DE) and SIA ELLE (LV, LT, EE).

SHORT ABOUT THE PROJECT

Project Industrial animal farms in the Baltic Sea Region - sustainable practices to reduce nutrient loads is a part of a long-term campaign of the Coalition Clean Baltic and Green Federation "GAJA", aiming to reduce the negative impact of large-scale animal production on the environment and local communities in the Baltic Sea Region, particularly by reducing nutrient run-off into the sea. The project is part-financed by the European Union. This website reflects only the view of the Coalition Clean Baltic.
