The eight meeting of the Working Group of the Parties to the Protocol on PRTRs will be held on 16-18 December 2020.

At the meeting, the Working Group is expected to consider a number of subjects, including:
? Development of the Protocol
? Progress in implementing the work programme and financial matters
? Promotion and coordination
? Compliance and reporting mechanisms
? Subregional and national activities: needs and challenges for capacity building
? Substantive preparations for the fourth session of the Meeting of the Parties

Interested Parties and stakeholders will be provided with an opportunityto share their experiences in implementing pollutant release andtransfer registers, in particular, during agenda items on thedevelopment of the Protocol and on subregional and national activities.

The meeting will be therefore organized in a hybrid format (combiningon-site and remote participation). The remote participation will beenabled through the Interprefy platform supporting the interpretation inEnglish, French and Russian.
