The European Sustainable Development Week (ESDW) is a European-wide initiative to stimulate and make visible activities, projects and events that promote sustainable development. Building on last year?s success of 4,116 activities in 29 countries, it will take place from 30 May - 5 June 2016.

The ESDW 2016 will link to the Sustainable Development Goals.

REGISTRATION will be open to government agencies, research centres, educational institutions, museums, foundations, associations and businesses as well as individual citizens if the proposed event/project promotes sustainable development and contributes to the SDGs.

Project Industrial animal farms in the Baltic Sea Region - sustainable practices to reduce nutrient loads is a part of a long-term campaign of the Coalition Clean Baltic and Green Federation "GAJA", aiming to reduce the negative impact of large-scale animal production on the environment and local communities in the Baltic Sea Region, particularly by reducing nutrient run-off into the sea.
