On Sunday, 15 November is the Baltic Sea Action Plan Day (BSAP), HELCOM's programme of measures and actions for a healthy Baltic. At the HELCOM Stakeholder Conference and High-level Meeting held in March 2020, CCB presented a joint "Shadow Plan" in response to the ongoing Baltic Sea Action Plan (BSAP) update process. The Shadow Plan contains recommended actions across all themes addressed by the current Action Plan. Starting from 15 November, CCB will begin our own small communication campaign in collaboration with WWF BEP, with the aim to push our recommended measures before the HELCOM Head of Delegations Meeting on 7-8 December 2020.

HELCOM is also planning a small social media campaign between 12 and 19 November 2020, asking to complete the following sentence and share it on your channels with the campaign hashtags:

  • "Without the Baltic Sea Action Plan, ..."
  • Hashtags: #WithoutTheBSAP, #BalticSeaActionPlan, #BalticSeaActionPlanDay
  • Example: "Without the #BalticSeaActionPlan, inputs of nutrients to the Baltic would be much higher. #WithoutTheBSAP?

If you want, you can use their PPT template to create a quote andsave it as a picture to be attached to your post. Alternatively, you can add a photo or any other material to illustrate your sentence.

Read and download the ppt template and the instructions.

SHORT ABOUT THE PROJECT

Project Industrial animal farms in the Baltic Sea Region - sustainable practices to reduce nutrient loads is a part of a long-term campaign of the Coalition Clean Baltic and Green Federation "GAJA", aiming to reduce the negative impact of large-scale animal production on the environment and local communities in the Baltic Sea Region, particularly by reducing nutrient run-off into the sea. The project is part-financed by the European Union. This website reflects only the view of the Coalition Clean Baltic.
