All Hands on Deck: Setting Course to a Sustainable Blue Economy in the Baltic Sea Region - new report of the WWF. All around the world, the concept of a "Blue Economy" - using the resources in the oceans and seas - is spreading rapidly. Here in the Baltic Sea Region, promoting "Blue Growth" is a critical part of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region.

But how sustainable is our quest for a Blue Economy? Are we on the right course? This ground-breaking WWF report, All Hands on Deck, makes clear that we need the Blue Economy in the Baltic Sea ? but that we need to raise the bar on the goals, targets and actions that will get us there.

The report available on the WWF's webpage: wwf.panda.org.

SHORT ABOUT THE PROJECT

Project Industrial animal farms in the Baltic Sea Region - sustainable practices to reduce nutrient loads is a part of a long-term campaign of the Coalition Clean Baltic and Green Federation "GAJA", aiming to reduce the negative impact of large-scale animal production on the environment and local communities in the Baltic Sea Region, particularly by reducing nutrient run-off into the sea. The project is part-financed by the European Union. This website reflects only the view of the Coalition Clean Baltic.
