The 9th International Phosphorus Workshop (IPW9) will take place at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, 8-12 July 2019.IPW brings together experts working on phosphorus in terrestrial andaquatic systems, both managed and (semi-) natural, including experts onphosphorus recycling. IPW expects participants from universities andresearch institutions, government agencies, NGOs and industry from allaround the world. IPW9?s objectives are to: discuss concepts which driveresearch and use of phosphorus in our societies, review progress inknowledge and technology, define questions for future phosphorus-relatedresearch and actions. The conference will be structured in fiveinterdisciplinary themes: (1) phosphorus scarcity; (2) optimizingregional and national phosphorus cycles; (3) sourcing phosphorusfertilisers; (4) efficient phosphorus use in agroecosystems; and (5)environmental phosphorus problems.

Project Industrial animal farms in the Baltic Sea Region - sustainable practices to reduce nutrient loads is a part of a long-term campaign of the Coalition Clean Baltic and Green Federation "GAJA", aiming to reduce the negative impact of large-scale animal production on the environment and local communities in the Baltic Sea Region, particularly by reducing nutrient run-off into the sea.
