The next joint seminar of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region/Priority Area Agri is going to take place on 28-29 August 2013, inHelsinki, Finland.

The seminar will begin early afternoon on28th August and last the whole day on 29th August. The venue will be theHouse of Estates in Snellmaninkatu 11, 00170 Helsinki.

The aimof the seminar is to view the current results of the PA Agri and itsflagship projects as well as the future development needs of thepriority area.

Draft agenda and other information about the seminar will be published during the coming months.

Theseminar will be organised back-to-back with the seminar ?A GreenerAgriculture for a Bluer Baltic Sea? to be arranged by the flagshipproject Baltic MANURE in cooperation with other projects on agricultureand environment: Baltic DEAL, Baltic COMPASS, BERAS and Baltic Impulse,on 27-28 August 2013.

Project Industrial animal farms in the Baltic Sea Region - sustainable practices to reduce nutrient loads is a part of a long-term campaign of the Coalition Clean Baltic and Green Federation "GAJA", aiming to reduce the negative impact of large-scale animal production on the environment and local communities in the Baltic Sea Region, particularly by reducing nutrient run-off into the sea.
