A Greener Agriculture for a Bluer Baltic Sea will be held at Scandic Marina Congress Center in Helsinki, Finland from Tuesday 27th to Wednesday 28th of August 2013. Itis organised in a joint effort by the following Baltic Sea Regionprojects: Baltic Manure, Baltic Deal, Baltic Compact, BERASimplementation and Baltic Impulse, and the following organisations: WWF,HELCOM, CIEC - the International Scientific Centre of Fertilizers andNJF - the Association of Nordic Agricultural Scientists.
 
The conference is free of charge but the participants must pay for their own travel and accommodation costs.
 
It is the major forum for networking and exchange of knowledge, experiences and ideas around the Baltic Sea.

Project Industrial animal farms in the Baltic Sea Region - sustainable practices to reduce nutrient loads is a part of a long-term campaign of the Coalition Clean Baltic and Green Federation "GAJA", aiming to reduce the negative impact of large-scale animal production on the environment and local communities in the Baltic Sea Region, particularly by reducing nutrient run-off into the sea.
